Welcome to [what came before] by me, Erlank Pienaar.

Such wondrous creatures. Homo Sapiens Sapiens. Populating planet earth, 200,000+ years, evolving. Here we are. What have we achieved then?

Amazing and disappointing, simultaneously. Why? What, actually, is where we start.

Why, later.

We visit the fundamentals first. That will take a while. Doesn’t everything always. Especially starting. Feels like I’ve been starting this my whole life.

That’s literally true. How else and when else do you start, never mostly, starting is very hard. Not because of ending, but because of continuing.

Luckily there is so much to discuss, it’s never ending, so no need to fret about lack of content or ‘writer’s block’ per se. However, self-doubt and procrastination will undoubtedly be hovering nearby. Day by day, step by step.

This is a preamble, so please sign up. The holding pattern commences. Unfolding takes place here first, we’ll come back to this in due course.

Life At A Remove

We wake up in the past, every day. The known. On waking, don’t open your eyes. Lie still, breathe slowly. With deep awareness. Notice your surrounds. Smells, sounds, touch, taste…

Your bed, the blanket. Senses open and aware. The room, your state of mind. What do you feel? Peaceful? Serene? Content? Love? Anxiety? Depression? Fear? Nothing?

Slowly. Open. Your. Eyes. Breathe. Welcome to another day on earth. Gratitude.

Let’s explore. What got us here, as they say, will not get us there. Time for an unravelling. New perspective.

Welcome to your past, presenting. Always now. Life is amazing. Don’t you know?
